Air Canada Aeroplan has once again extended their flexible change policy for Aeroplan flight rewards. The extension now sees Aeroplan waiving change fees on reward tickets until June 30, 2022 and the amount of changes you can make are unlimited. For bookings made by June 30 but changed on or after July 1, 2022 you will have the first change fee waived but any others after that will incur a fee. Applicable change fees will apply to any new bookings that are made on or after July 1. The program does seem to be adjusting these frequently so it is entirely possible they will be extended again in the near future.

• For changes, you’ll pay the difference in points or receive a partial refund if your new itinerary requires fewer points. In addition, a difference in taxes, fees and charges may apply when changing your itinerary.
• To make a change to a flight reward call the Aeroplan Contact Centre at 1-800-361-5373. All flight rewards must be changed at least 2 hours prior to departure.

Aeroplan's flight reward cancellation policy remains unchanged.

20% bonus when you convert Marriott Bonvoy points to Air Canada Aeroplan points

For the first time since 2019 we see a Marriott transfer bonus being provided by Air Canada's Aeroplan! Until the end of the month you can choose to convert your Marriott Bonvoy points to Air Canada Aeroplan and you'll receive a 20% bonus. The bonus kicks in when you convert at least 3,000 points from Marriott but ideally you'll want to convert in 60,000 point increments if you can the earn the additional bonus that Marriott provides. This is the second hotel transfer bonus for the Aeroplan program this month as Coast Hotels is offering 3x points when you convert Coast Rewards points to Aeroplan.

Koho which provides prepaid credit cards has switched to issuing Mastercard cards as of this week instead of Visa cards. This means you'll be able use it at places such as Costco. New users who signup for a KOHO account will be receiving a Mastercard from this point forward. Existing KOHO users will have the option to switch their existing card to a Mastercard before October 2022. A new KOHO Physical Mastercard will be sent to the user within 10 business days once they receive the requests. Air France unveiled a new business class seat that the airline will be adding it to a dozen of their 40+ Boeing 777-300 aircraft. The new fully lie flat seats will provide direct aisle access and have a sliding door for privacy. The planes will also see new Premium Economy and Economy seats installed to bring these cabins up to date. The new seats will be initially available on their New York JFK route this fall and since the 777-300 is sometimes used on their Montreal to Paris CDG route as well so it is possible the new seats could be on this route as well - at least on occasion! We had another of our readers and also a Facebook follower reach out to us that they are still having issues with Scotia and Scene+. Both of them are experiencing the same issues many of you have reached out to us before - the lack of points posting. JN emailed to tell us she has not seen any points at all post to her account since the switch to Scene+ while and MS messaged us on Facebook with the exact same issue - not one point has posted to his account since December. MS did tell us that Scotia said the points should be reflected on his June statement so let's hope that happens as we've heard many promised dates over the past 6 months from Scotia that have come and gone without a fix. Aeroplan's has come out with another buy or gift points promotion where you can earn up to an 85% bonus. This tiered offer sees bonuses ranging from 50% to 85% dependent on how many points you buy. This offer runs until May 20, 2022 and allows members to buy up to 500,000 points per transaction up to the annual limit of 1 million points. If you buy 5,000 to 19,000 points you'll earn a 50% bonus, 20,000 to 45,000 points will earn a 60% bonus, 50,000 to 60,000 you'll get a 70% bonus and 70,000+ will earn the 85%.

Next month HSBC is bringing back their transfer bonus to British Airways Executive Club and this time it will be a 30% bonus!
