Great deal! Fly from Toronto to Portugal round trip in business class for under $2,000

TAP Air Portugal has launched a Business Class sale for travel for their flights out of Toronto. They also have an economy class sale but I'll focus on the Business Class deal in this post as that really seems like the good deal! With this sale you can fly round trip business class from Toronto to Portugal from $1,922 all in or travel beyond to North Africa for $2,179 or other European and Middle East destinations for $2,729.

 This sale runs until May 16 and is valid for travel on the following dates:

1. May 15 - July 14, 2022
2. September 1 - December 14, 2022
3. January 16 - March 31, 2023

They also note your outbound and inbound flights must fall into the same time period. For example, you can't book an outbound flight on December 14 to return on January 16 as those fall into separate time periods. Honestly, that wouldn't work anyways as the sale fare has a maximum 1 month stay period. 

The following minimum stay requirements are in place:

1. Flights to Europe - Friday to Saturday or 3 days
2. Remaining flights - Friday to Saturday or 5 days

 Here is a flight to Lisbon later this month where the price is as advertised. They had flights on the A330NEO and their A321LR - both of which have lie flat business class seats however the A330 is more spacious that the A321.

This next example in June prices a touch higher than the advertised $1,922 but is still a great price and it is also on TAP's Airbus A330Neo:

 

If you are flying beyond Portugal you can also add a stopover for up to 5 days in Lisbon on these connecting flights with no extra cost to the price of the flight.

Of note, TAP also has a Status Match challenge where they will match status from 21 airlines. There are no Canadian airlines as part of the list but several U.S. and European like American AAdvantage and British Airways Executive Club are part of the challenge. Even Royal Air Maroc Safar Flyer (if you just recently took advantage of their status match offer)  is part of the list.
