AIR MILES adding card linked offers for Save-On-Foods on September 22

Here's an interesting development in the ongoing saga of AIR MILES and grocery partners. As most of you should already know, AIR MILES and the Empire Group of stores such as Sobeys and Safeway are parting ways. Atlantic Canada was first and the Western Canada sees them switch to Scene+ on September 22. But that's not all that will happen on September 22. Coincidentally, on that date AIR MILES will be launching card linked offers for grocery shopping at Save-On-Foods.

Air North introduces new Aurora Flight Pass and earn 3x points for dining at Hyatt Hotels with no stay required

If you are planning on travel to or from the Yukon check out Air North's Aurora Flight Passes. These passes include four one-way flight segments for as little as $1027 all in for use between Whitehorse and Vancouver (in either direction) and can be used by two people. Essentially one pass will net you a round trip flight for two or two round trips for a single traveler. You can also use the passes for other cities Air North flies to but you have to pay an extra fee of $61.25 (tax incl) per segment. Air Canada sent an email out yesterday to elite members offering double Priority Rewards for the second half of 2022:

Finally, recognizing that most have already requalified for Status, we’re launching a special offer to reward Elite members for their travels through the end of this year. We’ll double every Priority Reward you earn between July 1st and December 31st, 20222. As a reminder, Priority Rewards give you 50% off every eligible Aeroplan flight reward on Air Canada and any of our airline partners

It's back! American Express Transfer Bonuses to Marriott Bonvoy (25%) and Hilton Honors (30%)

American Express' bonus for transferring Membership Rewards points to Marriott Bonvoy & Hilton Honors has returned! Last seen right around this time last year, cardmembers now a month to convert their Membership Rewards points to Marriott Bonvoy or Hilton Honors and receive 25% or a 30% bonus respectively. This offer is available from September 15 to October 15, 2022

Cathay Pacific has brought back a bonus for converting credit card points to their Asia Miles. The bonus is 10% if you convert to a total of less than 30,000 miles. If you convert for 30,000 or miles you'll receive a 15% bonus. For those of us in Canada you can receive this bonus on transfers from American Express Membership Rewards, HSBC Rewards and RBC Avion Rewards. New WestJet Rewards Status Match Offer for Air Canada, Porter & British Airways elite members

 

WestJet Rewards has come out with a great new status match offer and challenge to keep that status. Elite members from Air Canada Aeroplan, Porter Airlines VIPorter & British Airways Executive Club can receive automatic matched status in WestJet Rewards until December 15, 2022. Then, to keep the status for 2023 you simply need to reach 20% of the regular required tier spend for the tier level you are matched to.
