IHG Rewards is the next hotel loyalty program to provide a further extension on the expiring of points. The email that has been sent out to members this weeks provided the good news that the pause on IHG Rewards points expiry has been moved to December 31, 2022. That's great news that IHG Rewards members will now get an extra year to utilize points (yours truly included as I was set to lose some!). Now only if Radisson Rewards and World of Hyatt will follow suit...

Here are the Rewards Canada Top 5 Travel Credit Card Sign Up offers for the month of November 2021! This is not a 'best' credit card list like our Top Travel Rewards Credit Card rankings but instead a look at cards that have very good acquisition (welcome/sign up) offers. As always when choosing a card you should always take other factors into account other than the just sign up bonus, but when some of these cards are first year free, they can and do pay off even when you grab them strictly for the sign up rewards. Air Canada Aeroplan delaying the introduction of revenue based points earning on flights

 
When the new Aeroplan program launched nearly a year ago one of the changes they announced that was set to come this year has now been put on the back burner. That change was the move to a full on revenue based points accrual system for Air Canada flights and partner flights ticketed by Air Canada. The airline let us know this morning that this planned late 2021 change will now not occur until at least the end of 2022. 

AIR MILES card linked offers are here - earn more miles with ANY Canadian Mastercard

When the revamped AIR MILES program was revealed in October one of the new features we were told about was card linked offers. Those card linked offers officially launched yesterday and represent a new earn method in the AIR MILES program. If you are familiar apps like Drop, Amplii etc. then you'll know how these work. With card linked offers you simply register your Canadian issued Mastercard with AIR MILE  and then you will be able to earn extra miles when you use that registered card for purchases at select retailers. The great news here is that it is good for ANY Canadian Mastercard (not just AIR MILES Mastercards) - so if you have the WestJet RBC World Elite Mastercard, HSBC World Elite Mastercard or any of the dozens of others in Canada you'll be able to use them earn more AIR MILES. Of course if it is a BMO AIR MILES Mastercard you'll earn even more AIR MILES Reward miles.

American Express Aeroplan cards now offering free Uber Pass benefits
