Earn 2x Mileage Plan miles on Fiji Airways' new Vancouver flight

Fiji Airways will be launching their Vancouver flights on November 25 and you can earn double Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan miles to celebrate. Announced this past July, Vancouver is Fiji Airways third North American gateway city after Los Angeles and San Francisco. The airline is partnered with Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan hence this bonus being put into action with them as I figure not a lot of those who will be flying with Fiji Airways out of North America are members of the airline's own Tabua Club.

RBC Rewards has now officially become Avion Rewards

RBC Royal Bank has completed the re-branding of their RBC Rewards program to Avion Rewards. First announced in July and launched this past weekend, the new Avion Rewards site is up and running with all the relevant details for the updated program. 

AIR MILES adding card linked offers for Save-On-Foods on September 22

Here's an interesting development in the ongoing saga of AIR MILES and grocery partners. As most of you should already know, AIR MILES and the Empire Group of stores such as Sobeys and Safeway are parting ways. Atlantic Canada was first and the Western Canada sees them switch to Scene+ on September 22. But that's not all that will happen on September 22. Coincidentally, on that date AIR MILES will be launching card linked offers for grocery shopping at Save-On-Foods.

Air North introduces new Aurora Flight Pass and earn 3x points for dining at Hyatt Hotels with no stay required

If you are planning on travel to or from the Yukon check out Air North's Aurora Flight Passes. These passes include four one-way flight segments for as little as $1027 all in for use between Whitehorse and Vancouver (in either direction) and can be used by two people. Essentially one pass will net you a round trip flight for two or two round trips for a single traveler. You can also use the passes for other cities Air North flies to but you have to pay an extra fee of $61.25 (tax incl) per segment. American Express' bonus for transferring Membership Rewards points to Marriott Bonvoy & Hilton Honors has returned!
