CIBC has a new redemption promotion in place for holders of their CIBC Aventura Cards. This offer provides a 50% discount in the number of points required when you utilized their Shopping with Points redemption for any travel that you book on your Aventura card. That's right - you don't have to book travel via CIBC Rewards, you can go out to any travel provider - airline, hotel, car rental and so on book directly with them and then redeem your CIBC Rewards points against that charge.

Koho which provides prepaid credit cards has switched to issuing Mastercard cards as of this week instead of Visa cards. This means you'll be able use it at places such as Costco. New users who signup for a KOHO account will be receiving a Mastercard from this point forward. Existing KOHO users will have the option to switch their existing card to a Mastercard before October 2022. A new KOHO Physical Mastercard will be sent to the user within 10 business days once they receive the requests.
