Regional and city tourism boards here in Canada are back at it again looking to stimulate travel and have people stay in their areas! Over the summer we saw many of them provide incentives for hotel stays in their respective regions and a lot of those offers are back for the fall and winter. Typically the incentive is providing a gift card, discounts, free nights or other perks for booking and staying at hotels in that said region or city. This type of promotion is steadily increasing in  popularity in Canada ever since one of early trendsetters started it off many years ago. That trendsetter was Tourism Vancouver  and Vancouver Hotel Destination Association who launched BeVancouver as early as 2015. Now known as StayVancouverHotels we see them run their gift card offers for stays in the Vancouver region several times per year.

Accor Hotels' Triple Points offer for stays at their locations in North America and select Latin American countries has returned. This includes all the Fairmont Hotels in Canada and the several Novotel, Sofitel Hotels in Ontario and Quebec. It also seems like we have our first MGallery Hotel in Canada, the Hotel Belmont in Vancouver appears to be changing from Ascend Collection by Choice Hotels to this Accor brand later this month. We found an amazing offer for longer stays at the luxurious St. Regis Toronto hotel! They currently have a book three nights but only pay two offer that also includes a $100 hotel credit that can be used for food and beverage or at the spa. New Air Canada Aeroplan Booster feature - pay to multiply the points you've earned

 Aeroplan and Points.com have teamed up again to add yet another points earning initiative for the program.  Called Aeroplan Booster this new option allows Aeroplan members to pay to multiply the miles they earned in the past month with the program. We've seen similar 'Boost' initiatives where you can pay to earn more miles and points but typically only for flying - Virgin Atlantic Flying Club's Mile Booster is probably the most famous one. However this one goes in a different direction by allowing you to boost all the points you earned from non-flight activities.

Flash Sale: Save up to $100 on Aer Lingus flights from Toronto to Dublin (Book by Nov 9)

 

Aer Lingus has once again brought back their offer that provides up to an additional $100 off of their flights – but only for two days this time! The discount is available on economy or business class fares booked by November 9 for travel out of the U.S. and Canada to Dublin until December 31. The wording of the offer makes it seem that the discount can vary but in a couple of searches I made the promo code gave $100 off round trip flights in any fare class.
