After the big summer bonuses ended earlier this week American Express has shifted gears with their next acquisition campaign and are looking to existing cardmembers to do some pumping for them. You may ask how are the planning to do that? Simple reward the existing cardmembers with more points. American Express is offering existing Cardmembers Double Points for each approved referral between September 21st and October 26th, 2022
RBC Royal Bank launched two new credit cards this past week, the RBC ION Visa and RBC ION+ Visa cards. These two cards will replace the Rewards+ and Signature Visa cards and feature changes to earn rates, redemption rates and benefits. The naming of these cards falls inline with RBC's move of rebranding their RBC Rewards program to Avion Rewards.

Another really good seat sale to let you know about. This time it is from TAP Air Portugal. Today they launched a worldwide promotion that also includes their flights from Toronto and Montreal. Economy Class tickets to Lisbon from Toronto are coming in under $450 for the most basic fare but what is really noteworthy are the business class fares running in the $1500s for round trip flights!

WestJet recently announced the return of flights between Calgary and Amsterdam for the winter season and they have some great pricing on the route. The airline was awarded more slots at the Dutch airport so flights will return on November 14 and operate 3x weekly with their Boeing 787 Dreamliner featuring their international business and premium economy class cabins. Hopefully the mess we've all heard about at AMS during the summer travel season is fixed by the time these flights start operating again!
Fiji Airways will be launching their Vancouver flights on November 25 and you can earn double Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan miles to celebrate. Announced this past July, Vancouver is Fiji Airways third North American gateway city after Los Angeles and San Francisco. The airline is partnered with Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan hence this bonus being put into action with them as I figure not a lot of those who will be flying with Fiji Airways out of North America are members of the airline's own Tabua Club.
