Aer Lingus launched a new seat sale today for their flights out of Toronto. You can fly in Economy Class between Toronto and Dublin for as little as $397.81 round trip - all taxes included. Receive a 30% bonus when you buy World of Hyatt points

 

Hyatt has released another buy points bonus!  This bonus is the same 30% offer we saw in January of this year and with the bonus you are buying points for US$ 1.85 cents each. There is potential value in buying these points for select Hyatt stays around the globe as you can easily get more value than that per point on the right redemptions. For example, when we posted about the reopening of the Park Hyatt Toronto we showed how you could redeem 25,000 points for a stay that cost $713 or a value of 2.85 cents in C$. Convert the per point cost of 1.85 US to C$ and you have about 2.37 cents but then you have to add GST/HST so you are looking at paying around 2.62 cents per point. So you would save some money by buying points - not a lot but it's a savings nonetheless.

The current offers on the HSBC World Elite® Mastercard® of up to 70,000 bonus points plus first year free and the HSBC +Rewards™ Mastercard® with 20,000 points and first year free have been extended from ending on September 27 to now ending on October 3.

Hilton Honors extending elite status to 2023, further pausing points expiration & easing elite qualification requirements

 
Throughout the pandemic we have seen most airlines and hotels provide extensions of elite statuses, benefits, pausing point expiry and also lowering elite qualification requirements. Hilton Hotels who have done all of these for their Honors program numerous times over the past 18 months have announced a further extension to these global loyalty benefits:

Earn up to 3x points for stays at IHG Hotels & Resorts in Canada and Worldwide

 

IHG Hotels & Resorts are banking on their members making multiple stays with their next systemwide promotion. Members of IHG Rewards can now register for this offer that provide up to 3x points for stays between October 1 and December 31, 2021. The catch is that to earn 3x points you'll have stay three times, that is on your first stay there is no bonus, your second stay will 2x points and then from your third stay on you will earn the 3x points. If you have a lot of IHG stays planned then this isn't too bad of promotion, especially if you are staying a pricier hotels as offers where it is 2x and 3x are most rewarding when you pay more for a stay. However for some this offer may not even be on the radar since this is the only major hotel chain not offering a bonus on your first stay - all the other's systemwide promos award some sort of bonus even on the first stay.

Earn up to 15,000 bonus points when you stay with Radisson Hotels in Canada and the rest of the Americas

Radisson Hotels Americas now has a trio of systemwide offers for stays at hotels in the ‘Americas’ program which number at over 600 in the U.S., Canada, Latin America & Caribbean. The first offer that came out this month awards 7,000 bonus points per night, the second offer was a redemption offer that provides a free night e-certificate when you redeem points for a 2+ night stay and now we have this offer. Members who register for this latest offer can earn up to 15,000 bonus Radisson Rewards points. The bonus is awarded as 3,000 bonus points on the first stay and then 12,000 more points on the second stay. Now the question is can this promotion be stacked the 7,000 point offer and we don’t know 100%. The 7K offer has no terms saying that you can’t earn it with other promos however this 15K offer does state it cannot be combined with other promotions.

 The limited 10% cash back welcome offers for the Tangerine Money-Back Credit Card and Tangerine World Mastercard® have been extended to October 4 after being slated to end today. The offer is the same for both cards which is 10% cash back on all purchases up to $1,000 ($100 cash back) made in the first two months of having the card.

Huge bonus for a few days only! 20,000 bonus AeroMexico Club Premier Points with just one Choice Hotels stay

 
Over the course of this year AeroMexico and Choice Hotels have run some very lucrative stay promotions. First it was up to 10,000 points for one stay in March and April then they had up to 15,000 points for one stay in June/July, a 10,000 bonus point offer for start of September (and the end of September). Now we know why there is a break in the 10,000 point offer for this month and that’s because they are offering 20,000 points until September 19! So you really only have 5 days to get in on this offer but it can super worth it as that’s a huge bonus to get! If you can get yourself to even a cheap Sleep Inn or something like that over the next few days do it!

Save 15% when you redeem CIBC Aventura points for travel to sun destinations (and Alaska)

 

 With travel slowly making a return and more Canadians looking to get away for this winter after being at home for the better of two years it's nice to see a promotion like this come out.  Earlier in the month CIBC launched a discounted reward offer for their Aventura cardholders that sees the points requirement for travel to sun destinations (outside of lower continental U.S.) reduced by 15%.
