The overall best travel rewards credit card in Canada (and in fact a pretty strong cash back card in its own right) has enjoyed its best ever welcome bonus since January and that offer will be wrapping up in two weeks! The card is the American Express Cobalt Card and ever since it launched late in 2017 it has been the number one card in Canada. There are several reasons for this but it primarily comes down to the card earning 5x points on eats and drinks (it was one of the first cards to award that many points on purchases) but also providing good redemption value for those 5x points and even the rest of the points the card earns a 2x and 1x. On top of that the card lets you convert points to Marriott Bonvoy which can then in turn be converted to 40+ airline programs including Aeroplan. In April the Sandman Hotel Group consolidated several of their loyalty programs and relaunched them as one program called RSVP Rewards. The new frequent guest program combines Sandman Hotel's Lucky 13 Rewards and Sutton Place Hotels Prestige into one. The new RSVP Rewards program is points based which is more like the Sutton Presitge program as Lucky 13 Rewards was a stamp based program (think buy 10 get 1 free punch cards. All Sutton Prestige members will retain their existing points balances and elite status levels while Lucky 13 members will have their stamps converted to points, unless you have a full card in which you can still redeem that for a free night. The program is giving Lucky 13 members until June 1, 2022 to convert their stamps into electronic points.

Earn 10,000 Aeroplan Points when you open select TD chequing accounts in combination with a TD Aeroplan credit card
