Loyalty Points earned while doing business are no longer taxable benefits

I do not know many people who have claimed their miles or points they earned while on business or employer paid business trips, but technically those miles and points were considered a taxable benefit. However the Canada Revenue agency has changed that rule in that benefits earned in loyalty programs while on employer dollar are not taxable unless they are converted to cash.

Turkish Airlines announcesToronto-Istanbul Route

It did not take long for Turkish Airlines to announce their new service after Canada and Turkey signed a new air service agreement earlier this month.

Starting on Jul 11, Turkish will fly 3 times weekly between Toronto and Istanbul using their A330 aircraft.

Schedule is as follows:
