The highly anticipated W Toronto is finally here!

The W Toronto, one of the most anticipated new Marriott Hotels in Canada is officially opening its doors. This is a a hotel that we have had on our list new Marriott Hotel openings in Canada for several years now and after numerous delays primarily owing to the pandemic we are happy to pass along the news of its opening. Marriott sent out an official press release today and while the website shows today as the opening date it appears the hotel will begin welcoming guests as of August 1.

Two new Marriott hotels will be opening in Montreal this year

 

This is a relatively quiet year for new Marriott Hotel openings in Canada with only six new locations but we can actually add two more hotels to that list. Montreal will see two new hotels - the Residence Inn Montreal Midtown and Courtyard Montreal Midtown and we have to thank our reader Mike M. for letting us know about them.

We made an update to our New Hilton Hotel Openings in Canada for 2022 feature (Check out the feature here). Thanks to our reader Min'ai for letting us know the opening of the Hampton Inn by Hilton Midland, ON has been pushed back to May 26. We also decided to check the other hotels that were to open during February, March and April and have learned on has opened in Montreal and in addition to the Midland hotel four others have had their opening dates pushed back as follows:

In this part we take a look at Marriott Hotels who are taking a bit of a breather compared to the past several years with new hotel  openings. Having added well over 40 new hotels between 2019 and 2021, Marriott is planning on only opening six nine new hotels in Alberta, Nova Scotia, Ontario & Quebec. So let's take a look at what they have in store for this year.

A new year means the return of our series on new hotel openings in Canada! This year we kick it off with Hilton Hotels who are looking at a huge expansion in our great country.
