New Amex Offers providing statement credits for Shell and Wendy's purchases

A few more Amex Offers came out at the end of this week for using your American Express card at Shell or Wendy's. Personally I received both the Shell and Wendy's offers on my Platinum Card and also received the Shell offer on my Cobalt Card. However the Cobalt offer is only for two statement credits versus the Platinum's four statement credits and the Platinum offer runs for one month longer.

March 31 Update: AIR MILES Flights continues to disappoint, Air Canada partners with Mexico's Aeromar & one new Amex Offer

Here's your Rewards Canada Daily update! Your near daily dose of loyalty program, credit card and travel news, bonuses, deals and more.

Last December we had a post here on the Rewards Canada blog covering our readers disappointment with the new AIR MILES Flight booking. Just over three months later and that disappointment is still being voiced by our readers. Over the past few days a couple more comments have been posted from flights that used to cost 900 miles now being over 5,000 miles and one flight to Europe requiring 4,332 miles and $1685 in taxes and fees. The actual price for the ticket? $1,730. Nothing like spending 4,332 miles for $45 in value. What has your experience been with the new AIR MILES Flights booking platform? Are you disappointed as well or have you actually been able to find some valuable redemptions? Let us know in the comments in the linked blog post or below. In the mean time check out the post with all our reader's comments here.

Match your Air Canada or WestJet elite status to Royal Air Maroc Safar Flyer (oneworld elite status)

April 1 Update: Matches to Safar Flyer Gold are no longer available. Silver is still available however.

The fine people at Statusmatch.com have revealed another status match opportunity that they are running on behalf of an airline. This time that airline Royal Air Maroc and you could potentially be matched to have elite status in the airline's Safar Flyer program. Some of you, most likely in the Montreal area are probably familiar with Safar Flyer since Royal Air Maroc serves your fine city. For others probably not so much but don't dissuade this opportunity as Royal Air Maroc happens to be part of the oneworld Alliance which counts airlines like American, British Airways, Cathay Pacific and Qatar Airways as just some of the partners.

Marriott Bonvoy's dynamic pricing is here - some hotels are pricing lower now (time to re-book) while others are pricing much higher

If you follow Rewards Canada on Twitter you'll have seen me tweeting late last evening about the new Marriott Bonvoy dynamic pricing.  If not, I'll sum up some of what I tweeted and more in this post. I considered posting this last night but figured Twitter was enough and it also would give time for more locations to be updated to the new pricing and also give me time to see what else others have found as good, bad or just plain ugly new points requirements that I could share here.
