Here are the Rewards Canada Top Travel Credit Card Sign Up offers for the month of January 2022! This is not a 'best' credit card list like our Top Travel Rewards Credit Card rankings but instead a look at cards that have very good acquisition (welcome/sign up) offers. Have to correct something that I have been wrong about for the past year and a couple of months. Late in 2020 when BMO revealed their new BMO Eclipse Visa Infinite and Infinite Privilege cards I stated that these card's 5x points earn rate on gas and transit purchases (which equate to a 3.33% return for travel redemptions) are the best in Canada. That holds true for transit but not gas and that's where I was wrong. As I seem to mention often, there is one card in Canada that tends to be forgotten and that card is the Scotiabank Platinum American Express Card.

It's nice to see Scotia bring back this offer seeing how most of this card's competitors have a had an increased welcome bonus consistently in place. When you apply for and are approved for the Scotia Momentum Visa Infinite Card you'll receive 10% cash back on all purchases up to $200 cash back in the first three months ($2,000 in spending) Not only that but they will waive the first year annual fee of $120 on the primary card and if you grab supplementary cards they'll waive the $50 fee on those as well.
