Another amazing promotion from Amex Offers came out today! Today we see the return of a grocery offer that provides a $30 statement credit when you spend at least $60 three times at Empire Group of grocery stores! Personally I received the offer on our Platinum Card

The newly minted partnership between Scotiabank, Scene+ and Empire Company Limited who operates Sobeys, Safeway and other stores took its first step today in revealing what we could expect from it. Scotiabank announced new earn rates on their credit cards that earn Scene+ points when using them Empire's group of stores plus a few other changes to the card. This comes only a day before we see the revamped Scotiabank Platinum and Red American Express cards launch.

Scotiabank has revealed their summer welcome bonus offers for their trio of American Express Cards. Two of the cards, The Platinum Card and the basic Red Card see best ever bonuses in place as they are about to undergo some changes and the mainstay Gold American Express comes in with a respectable new offer.

Earn 5x points on Apple purchases via the Aeroplan eStore with the return of an online shopping event for Apple! This works for eligible online purchases made via the Aeroplan eStore for delivery to your home or office or even those you choose to pick up in store.  This is how I typically do my Apple purchases, buy online and pick up within 2-3 hours at the Apple store all the while earning tons of Aeroplan points (plus the points or miles earned on the credit card!)

Book flights with WestJet by June 30 and take your share of 100,000 bonus WestJet dollars

WestJet Rewards is offering 100,000 bonus WestJet dollars that will be shared amongst members who book flights over the next two days.  Taking a page out of Aeroplan's playbook with this promotion, all members who register and book will receive a minimum of 10 bonus WestJet dollars but can stand to earn more out of the total pool of 100,000 dollars.

It's hard to believe it has been almost six months since we posted our series on new hotel openings in Canada! We did a sweep of the new Marriott openings as a few of the locations were supposed to be opening right around now. As is the case with many new hotels however those dates have been pushed back slightly but it does look like we have firm dates in place now for four of the six new locations! North Bay's Fairfield Inn & Suites is actually set to open tomorrow (June 30) while Marriott looks to have a trio of openings in late July with the W Toronto finally opening its doors and Calgary's The Dorian and Courtyard Downtown (Both occupy the same high rise) also opening. American Express Canada's Shop Small is back!

 

American Express Canada's awesome Shop Small offer is back for its summer run! This is an amazing promotion that many Amex Cardmembers eagerly await each year. For the next eight weeks Cardmembers are encouraged to use their Amex Card at participating Shop Small merchants to receive a $5 statement credit each time they spend $10 or more at up to 5 different participating small businesses.

BMO Rewards to make any travel booking redemptions at 150 points for $1 permanent

 

BMO announced a positive change to their proprietary BMO Rewards program that will happen in August. As posted by HermanH on RFD, BMO will make their current promotional redemption offer of 150 points to $1 for any travel booked via any provider permanent as of August 2, 2022.
