Here are Rewards Canada's Top 5 Cash Back Credit Card Sign Up offers for the month of June 2022. This is not a 'best' credit card list like our Top Cash Back Credit Card rankings but instead a look at cards that have very good acquisition (welcome/sign up) offers. As always when choosing a card you should always take other factors into account other than the just sign up bonus, but when some of these cards are first year free, they can and do pay off even when you grab them strictly for the sign up rewards. 

Choice Privileges summer offer: Stay twice & earn up to 8,000 bonus points

Choice Hotels summer promotion is here and it is the same offer we used to always see from them! They word the promotion differently in terms of get a free night or get a $50 gift card. In the end the two promos are the same, they will award you enough bonus points after you complete 2 separate stays to have 8,000 points after those stays. This time it is being promoted as the gift card offer as the promotion also sees the redemption rate of those $50 gift cards halved from 16,000 points to 8,000 points. With award night starting as low as 8,000 points you would get more value out of the points for an actual hotel stay over the $50 gift card but there is no harm in redeeming for a gift card especially if Choice isn’t your primary choice of hotel programs. This time the promotion is limited to U.S. or Canadian residents only.

This sees the first year annual fee of $199 being waived plus you can earn up to $500 worth of welcome bonuses from Brim partners. Receive a free night award when you stay two nights at Best Western Hotels this summer

Best Western Rewards' summer promotion kicks off tomorrow and it is the return of their free night award offer. When you complete two nights (do not have to be consecutive) at Best Western Hotels in Canada, the U.S. or Caribbean between June 6 and September 4 you'll receive one free night award. The free night award can be redeemed for Sunday to Thursday night stays between September 5, 2022 and February 16, 2023. They cannot be used for Friday or Saturday night stays. 

New Amex Offers provide statement credits for using your card at Kinton Ramen and Staples

 
A couple of new Amex Offers were revealed this past week in addition to the Air France KLM offer we posted about earlier. Personally I received both of these offers on my Platinum Card. Here are the offers:

Great new feature for RBC Avion cards: One way award flights are now available

RBC has made a small but significant enhancement to the Air Travel Redemption Schedule (Reward chart) for their Avion cards. That enhancement sees the addition of one way reward flight redemptions at 50% of the cost of round trip reward flights. 

Receive a 30% bonus when you transfer HSBC Rewards points to British Airways Executive Club

The HSBC Rewards transfer bonus to British Airways Executive Club is now live! We first gave you advance notice back in May and now a reminder that you can receive a 30% bonus when converting your  points! The last few iterations of the bonus have seen it at 35% and 40%, so it is not as high this time but still a very worthy bonus to consider.  This could be a prime time for those of you who grabbed the HSBC World Elite Mastercard in Fall of 2020 and missed the offer last July to convert now. Those of you who signed up for the card in Fall of 2021 with the 100K bonus should have a sizeable amount of points as well to consider converting.

Up to a 55% bonus when you buy Marriott Bonvoy Points

 

 

A buy points bonus for Marriott Bonvoy has returned and this time it is a mystery bonus that will be revealed after you log in. It appears the bonus can be as high as 55%, personally I only received 45% bonus while my wife received   The bonus is awarded on purchases from 2,000 to 100,000 points and that 100,000 is a doubling of the typical 50,000 point annual limit for buying points.

Amex Offers: Spend $1,000 with Air France or KLM and receive a $250 statement credit

We see the return of an Amex Offers statement credit offer for purchasing tickets with Air France and KLM. This offer was last seen in the fall of 2021 and provided a $100 statement credit when you spend $1,000 or more with either airline. This time they upped the ante significantly as they offering a $250 statement credit when you spend $1,000 or more. Here in the Rewards Canada household we received these offers on The Platinum Card.
