Another Ultimate Portfolio update to let you know about - this time we updated updated The Ultimate Foodie Credit Card Portfolio! With this portfolio you would earn no less than a 4% return on all your foodie purchases. This was a more substantial update as 2 of the 3 cards were switched! The recommended Mastercard is now the MBNA Rewards World Elite Mastercard (replaces the now defunct Capital One Costco card) and the Visa has been switched from the Scotiabank Momentum Visa Infinite Card to the CIBC Dividend Visa Infinite Card simply for the latter card's easier access to cash back. The BMO Ascend World Elite Mastercard is officially here, is it a card worth considering?

 
The BMO Ascend World Elite Mastercard is officially here. First announced back in February, this is the rebrand and revamp of the BMO World Elite Mastercard. As of today the card name changes and the earn rate structure changes as well. In general, the changes to the card can be considered a devaluation. Back in 2015 it was #1 in our Travel Points Cards with Annual Fee category but with multiple devaluations over that time it started dropping down and for 2022 sits in 5th spot. Now, it appears the card may even fall completely out of the top 5 thanks to these further changes. 

You can receive up to a 100% bonus when you buy Air France KLM Flying Blue Miles

 

Air France KLM have once again brought out their best ever bonus for buying Flying Blue Miles  and that bonus is up to 100%. When you buy at the 100% level each Flying Blue Miles will cost you about 1.53 US cents each or about CAD 1.97 cents. This can be a great deal especially when you redeem the miles for one of their monthly Promo Reward tickets (which unfortunately have no Canadian cities included this month).

You can now earn up to 3x Honors bonus points on all Hilton stays

 
This is a reminder that Hilton's global systemwide bonus points promotion for the summer is now live. Hilton Honors members can register and book to earn up to triple Honors points on stays between May 2 and September 5, 2022. The bonus awards double points on stays of 1 or 2 nights and triple points on each stay of 3+ nights. There is no limit to the number of bonus points that a member can earn with this promotion!

A trio of new Amex Offers released today from Wayfair, Hello Fresh and Canlan Sports

Three new Amex Offers were revealed today  for using your American Express card at Hello Fresh, Wayfair and Canlan Sports. Personally I received both the Hello Fresh and Canlan offers on my Platinum Card and received the Wayfair offer on my Cobalt Card. Here are the offers:

Scotiabank is revamping their Platinum and No Fee American Express Cards

The card we labelled as a 'sleeper card' back in 2017, the Scotiabank®* Platinum American Express® Card, will be receiving some major changes that take effect on July 1, 2022. The card is currently ranked as the fifth best Ultra Premium Card in Canada (Canada's Top Travel Rewards Credit Cards 2022) and with these upcoming changes should continue to remain in that spot.
