TD Aeroplan cardholders can receive a 20% rebate on eligible travel redemptions


Turkish Airlines Miles&Smiles isn't the only program to have an award ticket sale! Air Canada Aeroplan in conjunction with TD have their own they launched today. TD Aeroplan co-brand cardholders can receive a 20% rebate when they redeem their Aeroplan Points for eligible travel rewards. These include flight rewards, car rentals, hotel bookings, Air Canada Vacations and Air Canada gift cards. 

The offer works for the primary cardholder and they must register for the offer via this link first and then complete the redemptions by December 20. For travel redemptions the travel must be completed by June 30, 2022 to be eligible. If you need to book rewards for after that date they won't be eligible for the rebate.

The Offer only applies to new redemptions; previous redemptions that are cancelled and then rebooked during the Offer Period are not eligible for this Offer. 

This is an interesting term added in there and wonder if this will hold true or if it is there to simply discourage the action? I mean is Aeroplan going to physically check every booking that was canceled and then rebooked? I guess they could and I'm sure it could be automated as well to have their system look for bookings that are canceled and then rebooked on the exact same routes, dates and times? If you are thinking of going this route it might be best to change up the times or dates if you can as at that point it should be considered a new redemption. Don't hold me to that though!

If you were thinking of any award travel for the first half of 2022 and hold one of these co-brand cards now would be the time to look at getting them booked as this represents a significant savings!
