A new Marriott Bonvoy bonus points offer came out this month for stays at the Element Vancouver Metrotown. The offer provides 500 bonus points per night and free self parking for all stays until February 28. A quick check of how the offer prices against the Best Member Flexible Rate shows that this package is slight more expensive. Not a lot and could be worth it if you do need the parking - if you don't need the parking skip the bonus points offer. See the example below.

You can see the Bonus Points rate is $9 more per night but when you take into account the self parking cost of $19 per day then it makes sense to book this offer. The 500 bonus points are worth C$5 so in the end you are paying $9 extra to receive $24 in benefits. Like mentioned above however if you don't require parking just book the member rate flexible as paying $9 for the points may not make sense unless you are sure you can get more 1.8 cents of value out of each point.
As always make sure you are using the Marriott Bonvoy American Express Card or the Marriott Bonvoy™ Business American Express® Card to pay for these stays to earn 5 Marriott Bonvoy points per dollar spent. If we take the example from above you would earn well over 1,100 points just from the purchase on the card alone. Then you'd have your base earn, bonus points earn, elite status earn and so on on top of that.
