December 20 Update:The Ultimate High End Traveller Credit Card portfolio; new AIR MILES card linked offers from H&M, Sephora & more; WestJet to codeshare to Switzerland?

Here's your Rewards Canada Daily update! Your daily dose (or near daily dose) of loyalty program, credit card and travel news, bonuses, deals and more. This update is brought to you by the HSBC World Elite Mastercard which is currently offering a welcome bonus of up to 100,000 bonus points worth $500, has no foreign transaction fees and no annual fee in the first year!

Today we updated The Ultimate High End Traveller Credit Card portfolio! This portfolio is perfect for those who want to travel in style, experience luxury and get great benefits from an American Express card, a Visa Card and a Mastercard card. This much needed update of the 4+ year old portfolio sees the MBNA Rewards World Elite Mastercard switched out to the HSBC World Elite Mastercard. This is primarily due to three reasons, the HSBC card offers No FX fees and has the $100 annual travel enhancement credit plus the conversion option to British Airways, Cathay Pacific and Singapore Airlines. Check out the updated portfolio here!

AIR MILES card linked offers were updated last week - there are some of the same ones as before such as Subway and Indigo but there are new offers from DSW, H&M, Sephora and several others. Click here to learn more about card linked offers.

WestJet has received approval to codeshare on long haul flights to Switzerland from the Canadian Transport Agency. The question is who will they code share with? I'm pretty sure it won't be SWISS as they are tied in with Air Canada and Star Alliance . If I was to guess it might be leisure carrier Edelweiss Air who flies summer seasonal service to a couple WestJet's big hubs, Calgary and Vancouver, even though Edelweiss is owned by the Lufthansa Group. I thought perhaps an extension of KLM and Air France code-shares out of Amsterdam and Paris but the wording in the agreement "a scheduled international service, large aircraft" makes me think otherwise. Anyone have any other ideas or perhaps insider knowledge? (Source CTA)
