Hilton HHonors has added a great new feature to their mobile app! Now via the app you'll be able to see where you room is at in the hotel via Google Maps and have the ability to change the room (subject to availability) to a better view or quieter side of the hotel you are staying at. These new feature launched just over a week ago so there is the possibility some Rewards Canada readers have already tried it out. If so we'd love to hear what you think of it by commenting below! To select a room, Hilton HHonors members can sign into their account via their mobile device, tablet or computer beginning at 6:00 a.m. the day before a booked stay. Upon selecting their arrival time, they are shown a floor plan of the hotel with a green circle denoting available rooms. Along with the enhanced maps, guests can view photos and details of their hotel room, ensuring the room they select matches their preferences. During digital check-in, Hilton HHonors members can also request a Digital Key at participating hotels and head straight to their room upon arrival, using their smartphone as their key.

RBC Cathay Pacific Visa Platinum card sign up bonus increased to 30,000 miles (Apply by July 15)

To the best of our knowledge this is the best ever sign up bonus for the RBC Cathay Pacific Visa Platinum card since it launched! Originally the card came with a 10,000 Asia Miles sign up bonus and we saw increased offers of 15,000 and 20,000 but never 30,000!

This new bonus is enough miles to fly round trip in Economy Class on Cathay Pacific's 5th freedom flight between Vancouver and New York:

Of course there are many more options out there as well on Cathay Pacific and any of their oneworld or other airline partners.

The 30,000 Asia Miles bonus is split into two parts. You'll get 15,000 miles upon approval and then you have to spend $7,500 on the card in the first three months to receive the next 15,000 miles. That's a little bit of a steep spend amount compared to other cards but definitely achievable for many. If you do want to take advantage of this offer be sure to apply by July 15th.

Air Canada Earn Your Wings 5th Edition - AC Altitude members can earn up to 750,000 Bonus Aeroplan Miles

On Monday the 5th Edition of Air Canada's Earn Your Wings launched and like the previous two editions, it is strictly for Air Canada Altitude members. The 5th Edition looks to be almost an exact copy of the 3rd and 4th versions. Like last year, this year's offer only awards badges for flying, there are no hotel or car rental components but this time we see 79 airports where you can earn badges versus the 67 seen in 2015.

The premise of this and past Earn Your Wings promotions is to earn Wings by completing various earning actions.  In this fifth version you will receive 2,000 Bonus Aeroplan Miles for every 2,000 Wings collected.  The more 'Wings' you collect the more Aeroplan miles you earn with a maximum  of 750,000 Aeroplan Miles awarded per individual. If you end up in the top 30 Wings earners you earn your share of an additional 10 million miles (1-10) or another 10 million miles (11-30) over and above the miles you earn from the promotion.

Your first 500 Wings are super easy as they are awarded just for registering for Earn Your Wings.

Here are all the methods to receive wings with EYW:

• Earn 500 Wings simply for having Air Canada Altitude 2016 status upon registration.
• Earn a minimum of 100 Wings for every takeoff and for every landing on any Air Canada flight (including flights operated under the Air Canada Express brand) and Air Canada rouge. This translates to a minimum of 200 Wings per flight segment. There are 79 airports that will earn a higher amount of Wings for every takeoff and every landing. Refer to the list of cities that will earn Destination badges and Super Destination badges.
• Earn extra Wings by collecting badges (see Collect Badges).
• Finish in the Top 10 and earn your equal share of 10,000,000 Bonus Aeroplan Miles. Finish between positions 11–30 and you’ll earn your equal share of another 10,000,000 Bonus Aeroplan Miles.

To participate in Earn Your Wings you must be an Air Canada Altitude member and register online at: http://earnyourwings.aircanada.com/ by June 30th. Flights booked between May 16th and June 30th that are completed by July 31st will count towards earning your wings.

Yesterday we saw the return of the RBC Rewards transfer to WestJet Rewards! Those RBC Rewards points collectors who hold a RBC credit card can transfer their points to WestJet Rewards and receive a 15% bonus on the total dollars deposited. This means for every 100 RBC Rewards Points transferred you'll receive $1.15 WestJet dollars.
