The U.S. Government announced this week that they will be reopening the land border to fully vaccinated Canadians starting in November. I know most of our readers tend to fly to the U.S. but this is great news for those of you who utilize U.S. border cities for flights like Bellingham, Seattle, Detroit, Buffalo and Burlington to name a few! Back in June Hyatt's World of Hyatt program announced a further delay in the launch of their Peak/Off Peak pricing for free night awards to October. Gary at View from the Wing approached Hyatt to see if this is still happening this month and by the response he got it does appear it will be happening. So now is the time to go out and book any Hyatt award stays you may have been planning to lock in potentially lower pricing from stays that may incur Peak pricing. Of course on the flip side some stays may get cheaper in the future thanks to the Off Peak pricing. The good news here that you should be able to cancel your award stays and re-book them if the price drops.
This is what Hyatt told Gary:
[T]his is still scheduled for October to see off-peak and peak pricing for stays in March 2022 and beyond.
