It seems that we are now seeing new route announcements from Flair Airlines every few weeks! The latest sees the Ultra Low Cost Carrier further expanding in the U.S. and adding more routes within Canada. The latest cities being added to Flair's route map include Denver, Nashville and San Francisco in the U.S. as well as Comox on Vancouver Island.
These new routes are set to launch in spring of 2022 when the airline takes delivery of four more Boeing 737 Max aircraft that will be based in Toronto, Edmonton and Vancouver. You'll notice a lot of these routes are emulating routes that WestJet has shown success on however the latter flies most of those out of Calgary whereas Flair will fly these out of their hub cities, for example Nashville will be served out of Edmonton and Toronto, San Francisco will be from Edmonton and Vancouver and Denver will be served from Toronto. Some of those routes will see the airline compete direct with WestJet and Air Canada so it will be interesting to see how the airlines battle it out. The new Canadian destination of Comox will be served from Calgary and Edmonton.
In addition to the new cities that are being added Flair also announced a new route between Toronto and Victoria that will also launch next spring.

This is great news coming out of this little airline that could! Any new routes, especially on those that are served by the big two are welcome and thanks to the increased competition we should hopefully see a drop in the fares that Canadian consumers are paying when flying on any of our airlines.
