Earlier in the week we brought you the updated card offers on Amex's five consumer cards that were part of their previous best ever offers and now here are the details of the two business cards that were also part of that previous promotion. The two small business cards are the American Express® Aeroplan®* Business Reserve Card and the Marriott Bonvoy™ Business American Express® Card
with the Aeroplan card seeing a new offer while the Marriott card's offer has been extended. The latter card is the only one that retains the best ever offering that we saw for those five or so weeks of Amex running that promotion.
American Express® Aeroplan®* Business Reserve Card
- Earn up to 90,000 Aeroplan points and a bonus Buddy Pass.
- Earn a welcome bonus of 30,000 Aeroplan points and a bonus Buddy Pass for an eligible flight within North America after spending $5,000 in purchases within the first three months of Cardmembership.
- With a bonus Buddy Pass, you can bring a friend anywhere Air Canada®* flies in North America. On the second ticket, you only pay the taxes and third-party charges.
- Plus, you can also earn 5,000 Aeroplan points for each monthly billing period in which you spend $2,000 in purchases on your Card for the first twelve months of Cardmembership. That could add up to 60,000 Aeroplan points.
Much like the consumer Aeroplan card this one will take 12 months to get the entire bonus. That being said, the card this time has a buddy pass included so this offer technically can hit 120,000 Aeroplan points since you can convert the Buddy Pass to 30,000 points! That's still a great offer and is actually better than the last one if you don't count the 10x points on eats and drinks.

As mentioned above this is the only card to retain its best ever offer and a great offer it is! We've previously shown how you can redeem Marriott Bonvoy points with a value of 1, 2 or even over 3 cents a piece which puts this welcome bonus value at a minimum of $500 ($650 for the 65,000 points less $150 annual fee) but in all likelihood should be netting new applicants well over $1,000 in value.
Wrapping it up
So this is definitely a card to consider - it may appear 30K lower than the previous offer but that previous one took into account the eats and drinks accelerated earn rates. Here with this offer you don't have to focus your spend in that specific area - so long as you can spend $2,000 per month on anything for the first 12 months you'll get the full bonus.
