Radisson Rewards offering a 100% bonus on buying points - use it to save over 50% at their new Maldives resort

 

Radisson Rewards began offering a 100% bonus yesterday for buying their points. With this bonus you can buy points for 0.35 cents each and they allow you to buy up to 80,000 points (160,000 with the bonus). For many of Radisson’s hotels around the world buying this price provides so-so value but they do have some hotels out there where you can get some really outsized value. Most notably they recently opened their Radisson Blu Resort Maldives where you can redeem 70,000 points per night for an overwater villa. Here is an example of a nightly rate in December and note that the Maldives ARE OPEN to tourism with a negative COVID-19 PCR test:

 

If you were to pay for 2 nights at this amazing new location you would be looking to pay US$1144.98 or 140,000 points + $43.86. You can buy those 140,000 points with the bonus for only US$490:

 

This means you would pay US$533.86 for those two nights by utilizing the buy points promotion or more than a 50% savings over paying the best available cash rate at the hotel. That's about as far as you can go with this buy points promotion however as you are limited to buying 80,000 points per year (160K with the bonus) however if you wanted to get more nights at this hotel or others you could always look to have your partner (if you have one) to buy points as well.

AIR MILES Bonus Boom is now live - earn bonus miles with participating partners + 95 bonus miles when you collect three different Bonus Boom offers

 The latest AIR MILES Bonus Boom event kicked off today with a whole bunch of bonus miles offers for various AIR MILES partners. Most of the bonuses are available between today and October 14 although several like the AIR MILES Hotels have already been in market and will continue to be in market past the main promotional period. Once again if you use three different Bonus Boom offers you'll get 95 bonus AIR MILES 

With Bonus Boom you can earn well over 1,000 bonus miles with all the offers but in reality most collectors will be earning upward of several hundred miles. It really depends on what shopping you need to get done - for example you could stock up on your Thanksgiving or even Christmas alcohol at Sobeys or Safeway liquor where if you spend $200 you'll get 250 bonus miles and not to mention there are offers for buying gift cards for those two grocery stores as well!  Then you have your usual type offers from Shell, Rona, Global Pet Foods and more.

New Amex Offers for Indigo and Hugo Boss

 Another day another release of more Amex Offers! Two new offers appeared today across many Canadian American Express Cardmembers accounts. The first is from Hugo Boss (in our house we received it on our Marriott Bonvoy American Express Card and The Platinum Card) and it provides a $50 statement credit when you spend $250 or more. The second offer also shows up under Amex Offers but is only for American Express Cobalt Cards as it is considered one of their Cobalt Perks offers. This means any and all Cobalt cards can take advantage of it. So if you don't see it in your Amex Offers simply go to the Cobalt Perks page and register for the offer there. Don't forget that you can also go to Chapters Indigo via an online shopping portal like the Aeroplan eStore and also collect your Chapters Indigo Plum Rewards on the purchase!

Hyatt's Bonus Journeys is back - earn 3x to 4x points on all Hyatt stays + earn bonus tier qualifying nights until January 4, 2021

 

Early on in September we let you know about World of Hyatt's next systemwide bonus offer for stays called Bonus Journeys. That promotion officially opened up today for registration and stays at all participating Hyatt Hotels.

The promotion awards Triple Points on all stays Worldwide from October 1, 2020 to January 4, 2021 starting right with your first stay. The offer doesn’t end there however, those members who hold World of Hyatt credit cards will earn quadruple points on eligible spend at over 350 Hyatt Resort locations. This CC offer is pretty much for the US only but I know some of our Canadian readers do hold the US Hyatt cards! You can find the list of resort locations here. Overall this means members will earn between 15 an 20 points per US$ spent on their stays excluding any elite bonus points.

The promotion doesn't stop there however - on top of bonus points, every tier qualifying night completed during the promotional period members will earn one Tier-Qualifying Night credit toward elite status the year in which they earn it and they will receive one bonus Tier-Qualifying Night credit toward elite status in 2021.

 You must register for the offer by November 30 but I would recommend doing it right now so that you don't have to remember to do so down the line.
