One additional Marriott Hotel to open in the Montreal area and Canada's second Radisson Blu Hotel to open in Vancouver

There is one more new Marriott Hotel set to open this year now. The Residence Inn Laval has popped up on Marriott's website and right now they are stating an opening date of December 2022. If you recall from our post on New Marriott Hotel Openings in Canada for 2022 the year started off with just 6 new hotels planned for this year. This is now the ninth hotel on the list however it does not appear that the Moxy Banff or Moxy Halifax will make their opening this year now so we may me end up with seven new hotels for this year. Amazing award night redemption opportunity at the new Radisson Blu Toronto Downtown (Book by October 25)

 

Earlier this week we let you know that the first Radisson Blu Hotel in Canada opened up its doors in Toronto.  At that time award nights were pricing out the regular price of 44,000 points per night but now Radisson Rewards has implemented a new hotel discount on award nights for this location!

This offer entitled "New Hotel Award night " is 25% off the regular rate of 44,000 points which means award nights are pricing out at 33,000 points for standard rooms. But it doesn't stop there. I reached out to Radisson to see if you can also take advantage of the additional 25% rebate that Radisson Rewards is offering on all award nights right now and they have confirmed to Rewards Canada that indeed you will also receive the rebate of 25% as long as you are registered for that offer and meet the requirements of the promotion. That is, book by October 25 for award night stays until December 20, 2020. And again it doesn't stop there! Radisson Rewards also has their current systemwide bonus points promotion of 5,000 bonus per stay and if you recall this bonus points promo counts on award night stays as well!

Hot on the heels of our podcast episode on summer hotel promotions we learn of another promotion now! Radisson Rewards is now the latest hotel chain to reveal their summer systemwide global points promotion. This one is perfect for Canadians as there are lots of Radisson Hotel group hotels across our great country so you could line this offer up for your summer travels whether they be by plane, train, boat or car!

Much like its competitors they are only giving bonus points out when you complete multiple stays, which is two in most cases. This promo is quite lucrative though once you do get to your second stay as the bonus is 3,000 bonus points PER NIGHT. Ultimate strategy is to complete a cheap one night stay to get that out of the way and then focus on those stays after to earn the bonus points. Or even if you may only have one two night stay planned try to hotel hop. Stay at one hotel on night one and move to another for night two so you can score those 3,000 points.
