Thanks for the heads-up. I just applied for, and was approved for the Amex SPG two weeks ago. I haven't received the card yet, so I called Amex to see if I would still be entitled to the 20k bonus and they said no and suggested I not activate the card and simply re-apply. Seems stupid, but for another 10k Starpoints, I'm going to do it!

Yes the 21K is the best offer, this is the 'friends and family' referral offer.
