IHG is offering a great reward night sale for stays at the Venetian Resort in Las Vegas until the middle of December. Rewards nights that normally run 70,000 points per night are pricing as low as 30,000 points with this sale. That being said on some nights the hotel’s cash price is really low so it may not make sense to redeem. For the November 3-5 example below a king suite is $119.25 (about $180 all in) or 30,000 points. This puts the redemption value at about US$ 0.45 cents per point ($135/30,000 as you still have to pay the resort fee) and on average IHG Rewards Club points are worth about US$ 0.5 cents per point, so the value is close but a little below average. It will really depend on which days you look at for this offer where you may get decent value by redeeming points. For example two nights at Thanksgiving (Thu-Sat) are 30,000 points per night for a room cost of about $212 per night so you would be getting a value around 0.7 cents per point. That's a decent redemption!
