Scotiabank Gold American Express Card - 1st Year annual fee waived!

Obviously feeling the heat from many of their competitors who are offering the same, Scotiabank has decided to waive the annual fee (primary and additional card) for the first year of cardmembership with the Scotiabank Gold American Express Card. The card normally carries a $99 annual fee and $29 supplementary card fee but if you apply before March 31, 2014 they will waive that fee.

This card ranked second in the Travel Points Card with annual fee category in our 2013 Top Travel Rewards Credit card rankings. Here are some details on the card:

  1. This card is not as hot as the Amex AeroplanPlus Gold Card, which is 30,000 Aeroplan miles sign up bonus and First Year Free through referral. Here is the link if you want one:

The Scotiabank Gold American Express card is good if you spend tones of money on dining and entertainment.

  2. Yah for Disqus

I see that your link goes directly to the application page, and $99 fee wasn't Explicitly stated to be waived (same thing if you apply via below link anyway)

Scotia's own link is here, showing First Year Fee Waived ad

I suggest everyone to at least save a screenshot then, just in case
