Mar 8 Update: Choice Privileges MasterCard enhancements and lots of buy miles/points bonuses

Why is that whenever some of the more important news or offers come out on days when I can't give them the proper attention? That was the case yesterday with the launch of the 2013 version of Aeroplan's Star Challenge. I had the press release sent to me just before it went live and took info from that for my hasty post yesterday morning. Of course I made the mistake of not reading the T&Cs to see how much more limiting the promotion is this year. No points.com or American Express transfers, no more spending $1 at a time at Rexall, no more $3 fill ups at Esso. Aeroplan, I'm sure, learned the hard way last year as they made to promotion too easy as many members earned 16,500 Aeroplan Miles for very little spend (I think everyone in my family did it for around ~$50 each) and probably ended up hurting their bottom line.
