With the announcement coming the same day as Aegean/Star Alliance, British Airways, one of the founding members of the Oneworld Alliance is sponsoring the membership of S7 (Siberian Airlines) to the alliance. The airline will go through an 18 month integration program with full membership expected by 2012. S7 is the second Russian airline to join an alliance after Aeroflot which has been a member of SkyTeam since 2006.

S7 Airlines to join Oneworld Alliance
