50% Transfer Bonus for RBC Rewards (Avion only) to British Airways Executive Club is back this July
I am happy to let you all of you RBC Avion cardholders (Infinite and Platinum) that the much coveted 50% transfer bonus for RBC Rewards points to British Airways Executive Club Avios is coming back soon! The promotion will run from July 1st to 31st so now is the time to ramp up your spending if you have been planning to take advantage of this great transfer bonus! As always BA Avios are a great option for flights to Asia (via Cathay Pacific), short to medium haul within North America (Alaska Airlines, American Airlines) and even though huge surcharges are added to their UK/Europe redemptions they can still be an alright value because of this bonus transfer based on your spend with the credit card (see my post about Earn & Burn for an explanation)

Think they might up the sign up bonuses? Current ones seem weak...

I have rarely seen the sign up bonus for the Avion cards go beyond the small 15,000 points so I doubt they will increase it ahead of this promotion.

There are no immediate plans to increase the welcome bonus on the Infinite Avion product as the value of up to $350 is very rich in the marketplace. Additionally, we've done a lot of work on increasing earn capability on the Infinite Avion card with opportunities to earn up to 5 times more points for every dollar of spend through features like the travel accelerator and shopping through RBC Rewards eMall.
meh. let them believe it is "very rich in the marketplace" and watch what happens.
