I got an email from Air France KLM yesterday that announced an new enhancement to the program, roll over elite level miles. Essentially what this means is that any elite level qualifying miles that you earn over and above the highest status you achieve in that year will be rolled over to the next year's qualification process. This basically means that you can achieve elite level status faster in the following year. If you do not reach elite level status (ie Silver) then level miles do not roll over.
